Chipotle's latest TikTok stunt
Chipotle teamed up with David Dobrik to give five lucky people free Chipotle for a year.
Chipotle recently launched the #ChipotleSponsorMe challenge on TikTok. Teaming up with David Dobrik, they put out this video.
in 4 days in the video has over 858K likes and the hashtag has been seen 405M times. The rules are simple: make a video on why Chipotle should sponsor you, post it on TikTok, and use the hashtags.
I think this is one of my favorite branded campaigns simply because of the effort and lengths people are willing to go to make these videos. Most of the videos are completely unique and are edited outside of the app - consider the effort and the hours decided just for Chipotle, all just free advertising. So much of my FYP has been dedicated to this content.

Here’s a few of my favorite submissions:
Not Chipotle’s first try on TikTok
Throwback to Summer ‘19 where Chipotle apparently smashed TikTok records with the #GuacDance
Over the course of 7 days, the #GaucDace hashtag amassed 1.0B views. Although Tik Tok views are inflated by a few things (a) random viral content unrelated using the hashtag (b) videos replaying on a loop. Just looking up #guacdaance hashtag the 3 of the Top 4 videos were completely unrelated trends on the app. (famous relative check, POV, etc)
During this campaign, Chipotle sponsored a variety of creators, but the main premise was to use the infamous audio for a video showing off ur bowl (Dr. Jean's viral guac song that blew up on Vine (rip)). Challenges like this aren’t really my favorite since it doesn’t require much investment or creativity from the creators.
Chipotle sponsored three mega creators and lots of other creators.
Mega: 20M+
Big: 1M+
